Dr. John B.Williams is a DDS Graduate of the University of Costa Rica in 1979. Continuing education in the United States includes: American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Certification for Advance Dental Education in L.D. Pankey Institute. Where he certified for Occlusal Equilibration Therapy. He is a pioneer in the field of dental implants, occlusal equilibration, cosmetic dentistry and oral rehabilitation. His caring commitment for more than 35 years to the advancement of the dental practice is what makes Dr Williams and his associates the team of choice in Costa Rica.

Dr. Saenz
Oral Surgeon
Dr. Saenz is an oral and Maxilofacial Surgeon who earned his DDS from the University of Costa Rica in 1991. He then specialized in Maxillofacial Surgery from the Pontificia Javeriana University in Bogotá, Colombia (2000) He is now a member of the Commission of Teaching Faculty of Dentistry as well as of the Assembly Representative Collegiate of the University of Costa Rica. Dr. Saenz is also a member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has been an associate in Williams. Dental team for more than 10 years.

Dr. Ana Lucia Perez
Endodontist
Dr. Ana Lucia Perez earned her DDS degree from the University of Costa Rica in 1998. She moved to Dallas, TX in 2000 and entered the endodontic program at the Baylor College of Dentistry, where she received both a Certificate of Endodontics and a Master of Science in 2003. Then she returned to Costa Rica where she has been practicing exclusively endodontics for the past 10 years. Dr. Perez is a member of the American Endodontic Association and frequently enjoys participating in their annual meetings, allowing her to stay up to date in the latest technologies as well as stay in touch with colleagues from around the world. While she enjoys the clinical challenges of being an endodontist, it is the personal satisfaction of relieving patients pain or fear of root canals that makes her a completely fulfilled specialist.

Dr. Gustavo Gutierrez
Periodontist
Dr. Gustavo Gutierrez obtained his DDS from the Latin American Science and Technology University (ULACIT, Costa Rica). From the early stages of his career, he developed an interest in the surgical areas of dentistry. After graduating he worked as an assistant in private practice limited to dental implants. Posteriorly he worked at the Oral and Maxillofacial Department at the Calderon Guardia Hospital for 5 years, where he gained a lot of experience and learned from prestigious specialists. At this point in his career he was accepted at the El Bosque University (Bogota Colombia) where he became specialist in periodontics. Now days, being a member of Costa Rica’s Periodontics Society, he practices exclusively periodontics and teaches at the University of Costa Rica. Dr. Gutierrez enjoys and has a passion for oral surgery and dental implants. He stays up to date with the latest techniques and available technology. This makes him a very meticulous and caring professional.

Dr. Aguilar
Dental Hygienist
Dr. Aguilar is a DDS graduate from the University of Costa Rica from the year 2000. She emphasized in oral surgery. She has been working since then in the prevention of periodontal care. She has been part of Williams Dental for more than 12 years running the prophylaxis services (dental cleaning) and teeth whitening (bleaching).

Dr. Altmetlla
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Gabriela Atmetlla received her dental degree from the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica (2001) and her specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia (2003). She has been in private practice in San José since 2004. In addition to private practice, Dr. Atmetlla taught at the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, where she was the Coordinator of the Pediatric Dentistry Class (2004-2009) and a Dental Pediatric Clinic instructor (2004-2011).
Dr. Atmetlla is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of dental illnesses in children and adolescents (from ages 0 to 18). Her aim is to help patients maintain a healthy and cavity-free smile!
